A Quick Dress Tip for Brides To Be

A Quick Dress Tip for Brides To Be

untitled-49.jpg

Just a quick tip for Brides- You may want to consider speaking with your seamstress about adding a loop to your wedding dress in addition to your bustle. Even though your dress will bustled after the ceremony and formal photographs are taken you still may want to add a loop/strap to your dress for when you are walking to the ceremony location, between shots during post-ceremony photographs as well as walking to the reception, etc. Though your dress will be bustled it  may still drag on the ground a little bit. This is especially a problem with wet and tall grass areas.

Some brides who are not going to bustle their dress also opt to have a wrist loop for dancing as well as not to step on or trip over their dresses.

Some dresses will come with a hanger strap for your train when your dress is hanging, you could use this for walking around to help keep your dress from getting muddy.

Here are some additional resources

It's a Hanger Strap not a Wrist Loop

Newfoundland, PA Wedding: Eileen & Rich

I know it's been quite a while since Eileen and Rich's wedding but I still wanted do a blog post for our last wedding of the year. I have finally caught up on work with fall wedding madness, having a nasty sinus infection and spraining my hand!

We had such a blast working with Eileen and Rich. They are down to earth and a really wonderful couple. They really get each other and that always helps make our job easier. Eileen and Rich had a Baltimore themed wedding, it was real, it was them, and it was the perfect wedding to end our season with.  The Greene-Dreher Fire Hall had a beautiful wooded area that we were able to use for photos as well as a driveway and part of the GDS Fair Grounds right across the road.

Enjoy!

Christmas is Coming!

Christmas is Coming!

Its only 53 days away!!

I wanted to take a few moments to talk about our upcoming Christmas Mini Sessions.

By the way, its not too late we still have some slots available! So contact us to book your session so that you can get those great family photos in time to send out your Christmas cards. Our mini sessions would be great for family, engagement, and maternity photos.

Last year the Bennett family arranged to have their session at A Family Tree Farm and we thought it would a great spot to do Christmas Mini Sessions. We are so exited to be offering mini sessions at the tree farm this year. Its a great location full of beautiful trees, a old barn, and on a lovely back country dirt road providing a ton of great opportunities for your photos. Working outdoors provides the space and atmoshpere to allow us to capture great authentic images.

We know that November 11th seems early for Christmas photos... it's not even Thanksgiving yet! But we wanted to be sure images and prints were ordered and sent in time for everyone to use as Christmas cards, send with cards, or give as gits.

*We do have a rain/inclement weather date of November 25th.

Here are some images from last year's session at A Family Tree Farm.

We will have similar props as last year and a few new ones!

This year we will be bringing our little stand and turning it into a "Trees for Sale" stand to go along with our location.

Here are a few other props that we will be bringing along with us this year.

We were able to snag this at Feick's Vintage Finds (my favorite store!). It is in ay better shape than our other one and still has great color.

We just got this vintage radio flyer last week and are super excited to have this for the mini sessions!

We love to give our clients actions to do to create authentic moments. What could be better than snuggled up on a cozy blanket reading a good Christmas story? We also have "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and " Christmas in the Manger" on the way as well!

We got a new banner for this year. This one is a little heavier than last year's and shouldn't flop around as much in the wind ;)

Susquehanna, PA Wedding: Brad + Mindy

We were so thankful that the rain stopped so that Brad + Mindy could have the outdoor ceremony and photos that they dreamed of. It may have been a little damp but the lighting was fantastic!

If we were planning a wedding again we would definitely steal a few ideas from Brad and Mindy's wedding, great BBQ, a live band and a pie bar!!

Susquehanna, PA Wedding: Lorianne & Tyler

We had been looking forward to Lorianne & Tyler's wedding day since we had met them last year.

The Woodlands at Longacre Farm under the arch that Tyler made was the perfect setting for Lorianne and Tyler to become husband and wife.

Despite the unseasonably 90 degree heat we were able to get  some lovely shots in the field below the barn.

The barn in its always classic and rustic chic self was adorned with wood flower box arrangements, paper painted flowers, charming tea lit flowers in glass balls strung from beams,  painted signs, and other decor all arranged and created by the bride.

Drums, PA Wedding: Ashley & Dwight

Ashley & Dwight were married on a rainy day surrounded by friends, family, and their two sweet little boys.

We were so thankful that Carmen's Country Inn  had a long arbor that was semi rain proof so that we could get some family and bridal party shots outside. Thankfully the rained stopped just in time so that we could get some images of just the Bride and Groom together around the property.

We so loved working with Ashley and Dwight and getting to be part of such an important day for them!

Enjoy!
